Seven Bridges is a private school of up to 50 students (Pre K through 12) located in Orange Park, FL. for students recognized as having average to above average intelligence yet compromised in achieving average-to-above-average due to a learning style compromise.
Candidates seeking admission may be requested to seek a full psycho-educational evaluation. Evidence is required that emotional or behavioral issues are not a primary concern. We then use the application form, testing, and references to determine goodness of fit, both socially and academically, with the existing student body.
We are accredited by the Florida Council of Independent Schools. With such high accreditation, students receive high school credits that will travel not only to the schools and colleges within the United States but also to international institutions. Though many students stay with us for two or three years, others stay to earn a high school diploma and are eligible to attend college. We try to maintain ten or less students per class.
Our teachers are primarily content oriented, with lead teachers holding or pursuing advanced degrees in specialized education methodology. Our instructors are with us because they want to make a difference for students who struggle or fail in regular school settings. Students, teachers, and staff are encouraged to establish and maintain personal relationships through their shared breaks, lunches and school activities. This encourages students to open up and address weaknesses.
Our school day begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 3:00 p.m. Students can bring their own lunches or order out monthly on a pre-established menu. Students are grouped according to instructional needs and receive direct instruction in reading, language, composition, math, science, social studies, and foreign languages. They also alternate between fine arts and personal fitness/health. Electives include art, physical fitness, communication skills, fine arts studies and computer technology is integrated across the curriculum.
Tuition , fees, payment plans, financial options and scholarships are available through our business office at (904) 269-7377. McKay scholarship funds can be used in our facility. Besides Orange Park, our families come from the greater Northeast Florida area.
Admission requirements must be met before full admission is approved. Testing must be current within one year of application. Retesting will be required every two years. Admission acceptance status will be provided within two weeks of admission requirements completion. Consideration for admission is based on completion of application forms, review of current psycho-educational (WISC-III and Woodcock Johnson), school records, pertinent medical records, school visitation, interview with the student and family, and paid application fee.
